DFM for Swine
The use of feed additives in swine aims to maximize the absorption of feed nutrients and increase livestock immunity. Feed additives can be probiotics, flavorings, aroma enhancers, antioxidants, and enzymes. Probiotics or direct feed microbes (DFM) aim to improve intestinal health by preventing colonization of the digestive tract by pathogenic bacteria. This happens because swine has diverse intestinal microflora and contains more than 400 species of bacteria, and the number of bacterial cells exceeds the number of host cells.
Agrinusa has several bacteria-based feed additive products, including AMNIL and VISANO. Amnil contains good bacteria (multi-strain Bacillus) taken from animal digestion. Based on the test results, Amnil can reduce up to 38% of ammonia and H2S and with better absorption, the manure produced by livestock also becomes drier, making it easier to clean.
Visano contains multi-strains of Bacillus taken from the plant to improve performance, FCR during lactation, and increasing weaning weight in piglets. Increased feed consumption during breastfeeding affects body weight after weaning so that the sow has the perfect conditions to mate again and can release more egg cells and produce a larger number of piglets.
